  1. not sure if you know this, but red wigglers are not supposed to be
    introduced to the wild.. they have been known to upset the delicate
    balance of the hardwood forests by consuming the leaf litter too quickly.
    This event leaves too little leaf letter to slowly incubate the hard
    shelled nuts and leads to excessive erosion as well as negatively affecting
    the pH of the soil.. Not sure of the impact they have in the wild in your
    area but they ideally are supposed to stay in vermiculture bins only..
    that’s why the worm bin you have has a tier system, the worms go up to get
    fresh food and you get the black gold from the bottom with no worms in it.
