That’s great can’t wait to see how they come out…. here in NC we can garden year round but where we lived in VT in the northeast we only had a 4 month season…. greetings from nc tim

  2. can’t wait to see the garden growing. I live in the tropic and it’s great because you can garden all year round. also you can get free seeds like when you buy onions the part that you throw out, you can put it in a pot and let it grow onions. Right now I am growing 4 plants of strawberries from strawberries that my husband bought for our grand daughter. This was to see if I can grow them by seeds and it worked.

Collards are very good. I like them boiled or stir fried. They are mild in flavor I think and yes they are very good after frost. What do you put the seeds in so it can stay in your binder? That would make a great video. Greetings from NC!

  4. I am in Missouri. I am doing an indoor garden because I live in a small apartment. But as far as the soil here. Depends on where in missouri you are. Our area has descent soil. But in some places in Missouri it is clay, others sandy or like here just dirt. LOL

i have not tried growing collards yet i will be doing them soon, When ever i grow some thing new i research a lot. I hear that collards taste much better after a frost or two. Remember to let it go to seed and collect them. Make notes and make another seed vault, mine is a binder.

that’s great… I didn’t see an just in the envelopes when we got this one or we would have got one of them….. this is the 101 just like yours it sounds… it’s going to be fun this year, to see how they do, where do you live? what’s the soil like? it’s red clay here… greetings from nc

  7. I got the package without the bucket. LOL. It was only $39.90 total for everything. I got 101 different varieties of fruits and veggies and I got the culinary and medicinal herb pack. I thought I would rather get it in an envelope and pay a lot less. I did have a lot of fun opening it and going thru all my seeds. LOL. I was going to get the package you got, but this one had more and was a lot less. I snagged it at just the right time in the auction. I was sooooooooo lucky to get it so cheap!

That’s great! In Vermont we only had a 90 day growing season, but you can grow a lot in 90 days! I’m looking forward to your coming “move in” videos. We hope to pick up the biddies this next week for meat birds, I’m so excited. Greetings!

  9. Oh, we are moving in (hopefully) June. I wont have enough growing season for all that I want to plant but I can get something in the ground. I’m SOOO excited! I plan on doing videos of how things will be progressing at the ‘homestead’ when we get out there. Chickens and possibly turkeys will be on the to-do list as well.

Is there any community garden projects in your city? I know sometimes they charge for space so maybe it isn’t practical for you but you could look into it. Keep us posted. Greetings from NC!

I’m so glad you have done this before! I’m going to need lots of encouragement and advice. We have some collards that have gone to seed, but they don’t look ready to pick. How will i know?

  14. That is who I bought my seeds from a couple of months ago. I got the 101 variety with the herb pack.

  15. Congrats on the Heirlooms! That’s the way to go guys. Now, make sure you let some of those plants go to seed so you can seed save. It will save your life. We are waiting to move (were country bound God willing), so I have to wait on my garden. Love watching your vids guys!
