  2. The title once again is “Indoor Garden Using Inexpensive Materials” okay – NOTHING says “hydroponic” because they aren’t saying it is. If you are worried about PVC better start looking around your own house, look at farms and etc., do you really think it does not come into contact with your gardens, farm produce, lawns, your main water supply to your house? 7. Carcinogens? All plastics release? How about abs ?

  8. NO SOUND!!!!!!!!!!

  9. it only releases harmful chemicals and other carcinogens like other plastic when heated, or after it begins breaking down. So please remember to change your pvc in about a thousand years. . A lot of plumbing in your house is made out of pvc, like your kitchen sink.

  10. I was thinking the same thing.
    Seems to like full sun.

  11. thats true, there is no difference. however other more sustainable less toxic materials such as hemp plastic, or even non toxic petroleum base plastics could be used instead. just thought ppl might want to be aware of the hazards of pvc when using it to grow food, smoke etc.

  12. most irrigation uses PVC piping. Whats the difference?

  13. Never grow food in/near PVC piping! PVC like BPA and fluoride is a potent endocrine disruptor – in particular an estrogen mimicker, known to cause serious health defects including cancer and retards healthy sexuality… Choose your materials wisely folks! Peace.
