Indoor Gardening

Thanks to Windowfarms — a new movement toward hydroponic, vertical farming in urban areas — were growing okra, cherry tomatoes, and lettuce from recycled water bottles in our windowsills. In todays video, artists/geniuses/Brooklynites Britta Riley and Maya Nayak explain their process, why its important, and why its, well, just plain awesome (it will impress your friends). Enjoy!

  4. They even sell drinking water in these plastic bottles ! So this drinking water in the first place will have the most plasticizers. The vegies wont make the fuss. Never the less, don´t drink plasticizered water ! Move to the cuntry or take yourself a country place with some others. Have a look at; Vladimir Megre, Anastasia,The new civilization. Anastasia is already a movement in Russia where people create, besides theire life in the city, a place for them in country side.

  7. many people do not talk about flushing with hydro systems when growing edible plants. this is quite an issue as you have to flush with pure water before consuming edible plants otherwise they can taste bitter and may be toxic

  8. cool. How the hell do I make it? You forgot that part.

  9. @missclueless1
Do you KNOW whether the plants take up the BPA though –
