    maybe I will anyways when I find myself out there.

  17. That would be ethylene gas, not methane, that helps fruit set and ripening.
    You can toss a couple of bad apples :) under your tomatoes plants near
    the end of the season to get the last green ones to ripen. Ripe apples
    give off lots of ethylene gas.

  21. I always thought the whole point of peat pots was to leave them on to give
    the plants a much gentler transplant when the time comes. I’d never heard
    of removing them.
