Kale

This vegetable is an excellent source of Vitamin A,Vitamin C,Calcium and Magnesium. There are numerous other benefits where Kale aids digestion,detoxifying the body, proper liver function, helpful for your immune system,lower cholesterol levels and can help against various cancers.Kale,when juiced on its own has a strong flavor,but if mixed with apple,celery,ginger or lemon it produces a lovely flavorsome juice.

Carrots

Carrots are amazingly nutritious and healing,and are a great base for juicing adding whatever else you want to include in your fresh vegetable juice,and they are fat free,saturated fat free,cholesterol free and low in sodium. Research has shown drinking carrot juice is more beneficial than eating carrots.Carrots are also a powerful antiseptic,assisting in the prevention of heart disease and stroke, improving vision and improving the digestive system.Most of the benefit of carrots can be attributed to its beta carotene,the precursor to vitamin A and fibre content,assisting the liver in flushing out the toxins in the body,helping to reduce the bile and fat in the liver.Be aware drinking too much carrot juice can cause yellowing of the skin.

Red Peppers

Numerous studies have found diets high in rich antioxidant vegetable and fruits are linked to a lower risk of diseases like cancer, cardiovascular disease,strokes and the symptoms of arthritis. Red Peppers are high on the list of these antioxidant rich vegetables. All peppers are high in vitamins AC and K,but red peppers are loaded with these vitamins.Vitamin A plays a vital role in the growth and repair of body tissues,and is particularly important in maintaining good eyesight and healthy skin.Vitamin C is necessary for the growth and repair of tissues in all parts of the body in promoting the healing of wounds and repairing and maintaining bones and teeth.Vitamin K’s highest dietary sources are plant based. This vitamin is necessary for proper blood clotting,cell growth and bone structure. Red Pepper juice can taste rather sharp,lemon juice helps blunt the taste and makes it more tasteful.

Spinach

Spinach is one of the worlds healthiest vegetables and is in the top ranking of nutritional richness,providing you with powerful antioxidant protection. Bright,deeper colored leaves offer more nourishment and higher levels of vitamin C than spinach leaves that are lighter in color. Cucumber is one of the very low calorie vegetables,containing no saturated fats or cholesterol.Cucumber juice controls fluid retention and helps with bladder problems. It cleanses the blood, lowers blood pressure and is also said to treat arthritis effectively. It is important to leave the skin on as it give you a higher concentration of benefit.Cucumber juice is excellent in cutting the strong taste of other vegetable juices,great to add to carrot or celery juice.
