Your own Organic Vegetables for Juicing

Imagine your garden so full of plants,it doesn’t look like anything you’ve seen before. It is far too beautiful to be a vegetable garden because every possible spare space is filled with lush, healthy foliage….but everything in it is edible and almost everything in it you can juice. Juicing is the fast track to good health. When you juice a vegetable, you are removing the fibrous portion and extracting all the vitamins and minerals and micronutrients in the plant.

My expertise is vegetable garden planting, and not necessarily juicing, but from my own experience and the never ending information available, I can bring to your attention the absolute benefit that can be sourced from your own healthy organic garden vegetables. You know where the vegetables come from, and you know you will receive the full nutritional benefit. There are numerous vegetable varieties that you can grow, and I will review five that are in the top selections to give you absolute nutrition and benefit.

Start slowly, when juicing you are drinking concentrated nutrition.

Kale is classed as one of the most nutrient dense foods on the planet, with one of the least calorie counts per comparable measure of any other vegetable,is also high in fibre and has zero fat. This vegetable is an excellent source of Vitamin A,Vitamin C,Calcium and Magnesium. There are numerous other benefits where Kale aids digestion, detoxifying the body, proper liver function, helpful for your immune system, lower cholesterol levels and can help against various cancers.Kale, when juiced on its own has a strong flavor, but if mixed with apple, celery, ginger or lemon it produces a lovely flavorsome juice.

Carrots are amazingly nutritious and healing, and are a great base for juicing adding whatever else you want to include in your fresh vegetable juice, and they are fat free, saturated fat free, cholesterol free and low in sodium. Research has shown drinking carrot juice is more beneficial than eating carrots.Carrots are also a powerful antiseptic, assisting in the prevention of heart disease and stroke, improving vision and improving the digestive system. Most of the benefit of carrots can be attributed to its beta carotene, the precursor to vitamin A and fibre content, assisting the liver in flushing out the toxins in the body, helping to reduce the bile and fat in the liver.Be aware drinking too much carrot juice can cause yellowing of the skin.

Red Peppers

Numerous studies have found diets high in rich antioxidant vegetable and fruits are linked to a lower risk of diseases like cancer, cardiovascular disease, strokes and the symptoms of arthritis. Red Peppers are high on the list of these antioxidant rich vegetables. All peppers are high in vitamins AC and K,but red peppers are loaded with these vitamins.Vitamin A plays a vital role in the growth and repair of body tissues, and is particularly important in maintaining good eyesight and healthy skin.Vitamin C is necessary for the growth and repair of tissues in all parts of the body in promoting the healing of wounds and repairing and maintaining bones and teeth.Vitamin K’s highest dietary sources are plant based. This vitamin is necessary for proper blood clotting, cell growth and bone structure. Red Pepper juice can taste rather sharp, lemon juice helps blunt the taste and makes it more tasteful.

Spinach is one of the worlds healthiest vegetables and is in the top ranking of nutritional richness, providing you with powerful antioxidant protection. Bright, deeper colored leaves offer more nourishment and higher levels of vitamin C than spinach leaves that are lighter in color. The dietary fibre content aids in digestion, prevents constipation, maintains low blood sugar and curbs overeating.Spinach juice should be used in moderation as it acts as a natural laxative and when consumed in large amounts may be too much of a laxative. For taste, spinach is probably the least strong in taste of all the greens, and added to the likes of celery and apple, makes a refreshing drink.

Cucumber, besides being effective when you are juicing for weight loss, cucumber juice is valuable when juicing for health. Cucumber is one of the very low calorie vegetables, containing no saturated fats or cholesterol.Cucumber juice controls fluid retention and helps with bladder problems. It cleanses the blood, lowers blood pressure and is also said to treat arthritis effectively. It is important to leave the skin on as it give you a higher concentration of benefit.Cucumber juice is excellent in cutting the strong taste of other vegetable juices, great to add to carrot or celery juice.

I have written about and promoted a certain method of organic vegetable garden planting, and have enjoyed the benefits from the harvesting of this gardening as have 1000′s of others. I know you would benefit with harvesting vegetables for your juicing every single day of the year, from a garden that thrives and there are no pests, there is no need to add fertilizer or pesticides, far less watering than you could ever imagine. The vegetables from this garden would give you maximum nutrition and would not contain the nasties you would find in most store bought produce.

Grow and enjoy your Harvest
